Basel Social Club returns for its fourth edition from June 15 to 21, offering a unique and dynamic platform during Art Basel week. Held in a different venue each year, the event brings together art, social life, and entertainment, positioning itself as a compelling alternative to traditional art fairs. More than just an exhibition, Basel Social Club fosters social connections and dialogue, transforming the experience of art into an engaging and interactive encounter. By uniting galleries of various scales and artists from diverse backgrounds, the event creates an inclusive and multifaceted art environment.
As part of Basel Social Club 2025, PİLEVNELİ will present two works by Ryan Gander, engaging in a conceptual and material dialogue with the exhibition space. Gander’s practice explores the poetry of objects and the invisible forces that shape perception, delving into the fluid boundaries between function, memory, transience, mortality, and transformation. His works examine the interplay between utility and obsolescence, familiarity and estrangement, inviting viewers to rewrite and reinterpret narratives, navigating the shifting terrain of meaning.
Free and open to all, Basel Social Club breaks down the boundaries between the art world and everyday life, offering a unique space for exploration and interaction. Throughout the exhibition, visitors will experience a dynamic program featuring interactive events, live music performances, film screenings, and culinary explorations, creating a rich and multi-layered artistic atmosphere.
