Whether for Argentina, FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, or Inter Miami CF, Messi’s goals have left a lasting impression on millions of fans around the world.
For years, debates have surrounded Messi’s most memorable goals. This time, however, Messi himself will choose his favorite—and this iconic moment will be transformed into a digital artwork by world-renowned media artist Refik Anadol. Co-signed by Messi and Anadol, the unique piece will be auctioned at Christie’s New York, with all proceeds donated to charitable causes.
The selected goal will be revealed on May 22 at 11:00 AM ET via Inter Miami CF Foundation’s official social media channels. It will then be immortalized through Anadol’s data-driven art practice, which draws from millions of data points. Proceeds from the project will support a range of social impact initiatives, including a joint effort by Inter Miami CF Foundation and UNICEF to provide quality education to children in five countries across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Titled A Goal in Life, the initiative is spearheaded by the Inter Miami CF Foundation. Creative direction is led by Xavier Roca, with artistic curation by renowned cultural strategist Ximena Caminos. Combining the emotional power of Messi’s chosen goal with Anadol’s algorithmic storytelling, the final artwork will be unveiled on June 11 at Christie’s New York and auctioned on July 25.
