Pace Gallery is hosting its exhibition Pace: 65 Years at its Geneva space until August 9. This group show looks back over the gallery’s last 65 years through a shifting selection that places Pace’s contemporary program within the context of 20th-century history, creating a dialogue between past and present.
Kevin Francis Gray is participating in the exhibition with his work Moon Dancer. In Gray’s art, there is a focus on surface textures to evoke psychological effects; rather than aiming for ideals of beauty or monumentality, he approaches the material by pushing its limits both physically and emotionally. This approach is clearly visible in the Moon Dancer. Gray describes his work as:
“In sculptures such as Moon Dancer I am combining mythological and historical narratives with contemporary forms. Rather than focusing on traditional facial depictions, I try to reimagine the whole body as a fluid marble figure, embodying an ongoing sense of transformation.“
Throughout 2025, Pace celebrates its 65th anniversary with exhibitions around the world. The works of artists who have been central to the gallery’s program for decades take center stage in these events. This series of anniversary shows stands as a tribute to Pace’s most enduring partnerships.
