As part of IST.FESTIVAL, took place between October 10–12, 2025, PILEVNELI is participating in “NEARNESS: A Neighborhood Exhibition,” a group exhibition organized by ISTANBUL’74. The exhibition opened on Friday, October 10 at 5:00 PM at ISTANBUL’74 Gallery (Arnavutköy, Beyazgül St. No: 24, Beşiktaş, Istanbul).
In the exhibition, Lal Batman presents her works “The Saint of Broken,” “Bleu Fantôme,” and “Maestro of Faces | Loved and Lost.” In these pieces, Batman focuses on the tension between the transience of faces and the permanence of emotions. She reinterprets traces of different eras—jewels, fabrics, and expressions—transforming them and reconstructing them into a chaotic scene. The resulting composition becomes a layered representation of both personal and collective memory, inviting the viewer into this multifaceted space of remembrance. At the same time, it confronts the viewer with the faces erased by time and the quiet permanence of the echoes they leave behind.
ISTANBUL’74 continues to serve as an arts and culture platform that brings together contemporary artists from around the world, curating exhibitions and large-scale public installations. The organization collaborates with prestigious galleries to present exhibitions both locally and internationally.
