Lal Batman’s The Grand Excess Exhibition at PİLEVNELİ Dolapdere

PİLEVNELİ is preparing to present The Grand Excess, a solo exhibition by Lal Batman, at its Dolapdere space from January 8 to February 7, 2026.

 

Bringing the glossy surface of social media into dialogue with the elegance of the past, the artist offers a layered critique of contemporary superficiality through aesthetic references drawn from different periods and geographies.

 

The interplay of ink, acrylic, natural and glass stones, and pearls on carved-textured paper promises an immersive and tactile experience. The exhibition will be accompanied by a bespoke scent designed by MG Gülçiçek and a site-specific composition by Berk İçli.

 

The Grand Excess is realized with the support of Tosyalı Holding and Tepta Lighting.
