PİLEVNELİ is preparing to present The Grand Excess, a solo exhibition by Lal Batman, at its Dolapdere space from January 29 to February 28, 2026.
Bringing the glossy surface of social media into dialogue with the elegance of the past, the artist offers a layered critique of contemporary superficiality through aesthetic references drawn from different periods and geographies.
The interplay of ink, acrylic, natural and glass stones, and pearls on carved-textured paper promises an immersive and tactile experience. The exhibition will be accompanied by a bespoke scent designed by MG Gülçiçek.
The Grand Excess is realized with the support of Tosyalı Holding and Tepta Lighting.
