The group exhibition “faces of mind”, featuring works by Serkan Sarıer, opens to the public on January 17 at HAUS. KUNST. MITTE.
Spanning a 50-year period, the exhibition brings together over 200 works by 50 artists. Featuring painting, sculpture, drawing, and photography, the selection approaches the portrait not as representation, but as a multi-layered experimental field shaped by form, emotion, and identity.
Through concepts such as reduction, fragmentation, and alienation, the exhibition offers new perspectives on the human condition, establishing a dialogue between artistic expression and neuroscientific approaches while questioning the impact of faces on perception, emotion, and memory.
The exhibition is initiated by collectors Dr. Carmen and Dr. Dietmar Peikert, in collaboration with the PECADI Foundation.
“faces of mind” is on view at HAUS. KUNST. MITTE. from January 17 to April 11, 2026.
