Located in Herford, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, and designed by renowned Canadian architect Frank Gehry, Marta Herford is hosting the exhibition “Other People Think – A Selection from the Wemhöner Collection” from April 12 to August 24, 2025. The exhibition features works by 25 artists, including Nevin Aladağ, Michael Sailstorfer, Marina Abramović & Ulay, Nan Goldin and Georg Baselitz.
This curatorial selection includes sculptures, paintings, photographs, and immersive video installations. The chosen works often pose questions about how we perceive the contemporary world, using sensual and poetic expression. Drawing from Heiner Wemhöner’s collection of approximately 1,800 works, this exhibition invites visitors to explore the multilayered nature of contemporary art, while offering a powerful reflection of Wemhöner’s deep personal engagement with and unique perspective on the art form.
